This policy explains what the CrossWise app and this website ("CrossWise", "we") collect and how it is used. CrossWise is operated by Normmed. Contact: contact@crosswise.uk.

What we collect

• Device and app integrity data. To protect the service from abuse we use Apple App Attest / DeviceCheck and Firebase App Check, which confirm that a request comes from a genuine copy of the app. Free-trial eligibility is tracked with an app install identifier and Apple's DeviceCheck flag, not your name or contact details.
• Feedback you choose to send. If you send feedback in the app we receive your message, the screen you were on, app and operating system version, an optional screenshot, and an optional reply email address you choose to type. Feedback is forwarded as a single email and is not stored in our database.
• Technical logs. Our servers keep standard operational logs and apply rate limits per network address to keep the service available. We do not log feedback content.
• Purchases. If subscriptions are offered, payments are handled by Apple or Google. We do not receive your payment card details.

How we use it

To provide level crossing predictions, prevent abuse, handle trial access and subscriptions, respond to feedback, and fix problems. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run CrossWise on our behalf: Amazon Web Services (hosting and email delivery), Cloudflare (network protection), Google Firebase (authentication and App Check), and Apple and Google (app stores and device checks). They process data only to provide those services.

Retention

Operational logs are kept for a limited period. Trial records are kept while needed to prevent repeated free trials. Feedback emails are kept in our mailbox until handled.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Email us at the address above.
